MAISON DE L'ENFANCE À DRULINGEN FAMILY CRECHE IN DRULINGEN PAR / BY FLUOR ARCHITECTS France Strasbourg, le 11 avril 2012 – Dans le contexte d’une parcelle particulièrement contrainte, le projet est le résultat de la combinaison des résistances du site aux éléments du programme. Mais la maison de l’enfance est avant tout un lieu de vie, où s’épanouissent les enfants, où travaille une équipe de professionnels et le bâtiment est la mise en scène de cet environnement, avec ses spécificités et ses besoins mais aussi sa dimension poétique. Strasbourg, April 11, 2012 – Situed on a very small piece of land, the project has been enriched by the resistance from the site to the elements of the mission brief. First of all, this « family crèche » is a living space where the children thrive and a workplace for the staff. The building is the set for this environment in every aspects and needs but also in its poetical dimension. + L’équipement est donc envisagé comme un cocon protégeant les plus fragiles, dont il se dégage une idée de calme derrière la protection, de rigueur et de propreté, pour des espaces ludiques d’initiation à la vie collective. D’apparence introverti, le bâtiment est à l’abri d’une coque de bois formant une enveloppe, à la fois physique et symbolique. Envisagée comme une peau protectrice des tumultes extérieurs, elle cristallise la limite entre les éléments du quotidien et l’environnement particulier, chaleureux et douillet à l’intérieur de la maison de l’enfance. Programme Construction d'une Maison de l'Enfance regroupant quatre structures : un "multi-accueil" de 40 enfants, un Relais d'Assistantes Maternelles (R.A.M.), un Lieu d'Accueil Parents Enfants (L.A.P.E.) et un accueil de loisirs (anciennement C.L.S.H.) de 30 enfants ainsi qu'une cuisine (préparation sur place) de 100 repas. Aménagement des espaces extérieurs (cours, espaces verts et parkings), la réalisation des abords avant (dépose minute) étant à la charge de la commune (programmés fin 2010). Contraintes liées au site Parcelle de forme globalement triangulaire et très exigüe comportant une ancienne gendarmerie (ultérieurement transformée en bureaux et logement – hors mission) produisant un large masque solaire sur le terrain. Parcelle située en entrée de ville, en bordure de la route départementale locale. Système constructif Construction en béton (murs coulés en place et planchers alvéolaires grande portée) isolée par l'extérieur afin d'assurer une très grande inertie pour le confort intérieur. Résille brise-soleil en bois sur ossatures en bois fixées à la façade par des profils en acier galvanisé. Matériaux Enveloppe : Sur la rue, bardage (Silverwood) et résille en mélèze de Sibérie protégeant une isolation extérieure en ouate de cellulose. Sur l'arrière, complexe d'isolation extérieure recouverte d'un enduit de couleur clair (STO). L'ensemble des toitures est végétalisé (Sopranature) à l'exception de la zone de la cour de l'étage qui est recouverte d'une chape rapportée hydrofugée et délimitée par une clôture à l'aspect aléatoire (Oobamboo de Normaclo). Les châssis vitrés en mélèze de Sibérie ou en pin peint ont été réalisés par le menuisier du projet. A l'intérieur, les cloisons et les faux-plafonds acoustiques sont réalisés en plaque de plâtre (Placo) et le plancher chauffant est recouvert de sol souple (Tarket). Les appareils sanitaires proviennent de chez Villeroy&Bosch, les inters et prises sont de la marque allemande Jung. Le mobilier pour enfant a été choisi dans les gammes du fabriquant Haba. Performances énergétiques Le projet situé au Nord de l'Alsace affiche une consommation de 140 kWhep/m2/an (pour une cible contextualisée de 156 kWhep/m2/an) soit un gain de plus de 10% par rapport à la Réglementation Thermique en vigueur. Le bâtiment peut être considéré "HPE" (non demandé donc non budgété par le programme du Moa). L'AGENCE ET LES ARCHITECTES : Les deux architectes ont créés ensemble FLUOR architecture en 2005. Ils font des projets hybrides, fruits d'une rencontre improbable entre les cultures du Sud et de l'Est. Depuis 7 ans ils travaillent ensemble sur tous les projets à 800km de distance. L'agence collabore quotidiennement avec des architectes, paysagistes, illustrateurs, scénographes, graphistes, écrivains, artistes, concepteurs lumière, etc... Introverted in appearence, the building is sheltered by a wooden shell - an envelope in the physical and symbolic meanings of the term. Considered as a skin protecting from the fast-paced world around, this envelope embodies the idea of a border between the everyday life and the warm and cosy environment of the « family crèche ». The Brief The construction of this « family crèche » gathers different entities: a « flexible attendance childcare centre » for 40 children, a drop-in centers for parents and children a childminder facility, childcare day center for 30 children as well as a kitchen for 100 meals (cooking finalized on site). The mission includes the design of the exteriors (yard, green areas and car park). The drop-off spaces and its surroundings are financed by the municipality (schedulded - end of 2010) Site constraints The shape of the plot is roughly triangular and very exiguous. There is an existing police station on it (subsequently refurbished in offices and dwelling – not included in the mission). The plot is located at the entrance to the town, bordering the local county road. Construction system The concrete frame (in-situ concrete walls and hollow-core slabs) is externally insulated to give an important thermal inertia which help maintaining a steady interior temperature. Timber louvres on timber frame are linked to the facade by galvanized steel profiles. Materials Envelope : On the street, the siberian larch mesh and cladding (Silverwood) protects the external insulation in cellulose wadding. On the back, the external insulation is covered with a light colored render (STO). All the flat roofs are planted. (Sopranature) exception made for the yard on the first floor which is covered with a waterproof concrete screed and surrounded by a fence with an uneven pace (Oobamboo of Normaclo). The window frames in siberian larch or in painted pine are made by the carpenter in charge of the whole project. On the inside : Studs and suspended acoustic ceilings are all in plasterboard (Placo), the floor heating system is covered with a rubber floor (Tarket). The sanitary equipments are provided by Villeroy and Bosch, the plugs and switches are from the german brand Jung. The chidren’s furniture has been selected from the Haba catalogue. Energetic performance Located in Alsace in north-eastern France, the project consumes 140kWhep/sqm/year (for a contextualised target of 156kWhep/sqm/year) hence a gain of 10 % compared to the current Energy Consumption Guidelines. The building can be considered « HEP High environmental performance » (which wasn’t a requirement and wasn’t budgetised by the client).
